The G7 Speakers Conference this year has been held at Astley Hall, Chorley, home town of the UK House of Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle.

Events like this are often held in or around London but Lindsay Hoyle and Nancy Pelosi, US House Speaker, preferred a location in Sir Lindsay Hoyle's own backyard.

So it is welcome to Chorley for the G7 Speakers and to firmly put Chorley on the world map.
